Sunbeams shine through my window
It’s quite clear it’s a new day
Without you, but I’m okay.
I can very much do without you.
The early morning greets me,
With the warmth you could never give,
And a promise that you could never keep.
The rising sun gives me a refreshed feeling
Almost telling me that it will be  a good day.
Whereas you brought me down
And gave me a reason to mope on rainy days.
Morning glow, quite inspirational
As it trickles down my body with each passing minute
Making sure to be nice, and graceful
When you had done the opposite
And looked for the perfections
That weren’t even there.
Yeah, it’s a brand new day.
And a brand new me.

And your rainclouds have disappeared from sight,
And mind.
